Differential SCC for Improved Mastitis Management
The Fossomatic™ 7 DC analyser introduces differential somatic cell count (DSCC) as a new milk testing parameter, complementing the traditional test for total somatic cells (SCC) pioneered by FOSS in the 1980s. This advanced analyser includes several sensors detecting fluorescence signals from milk cells, along with new chemistry and an incubation unit. Together, these features enable simultaneous measurement of DSCC and SCC, providing valuable insights for improved mastitis management.
