The CFX96 Optical Reaction Module is part of a range of interchangeable reaction modules compatible with the C1000 Touch Thermal Cycler Chassis for both PCR and real-time PCR. These modules can be swiftly inserted and removed from the cycler chassis without requiring any tools.

Features and Benefits

When paired with the thermal cycler chassis, the CFX96 Optical Reaction Module offers:

Detection capability for up to 5 targets per well, along with a dedicated channel for singleplex FRET
Protocol autowriter function that generates an optimized protocol tailored to your reaction components
Thermal gradient feature facilitating the identification of optimal annealing temperatures in a single run
Availability of CFX Maestro Software and qbase+ Software for reliable validation, data analysis, and RDML file export conforming to MIQE guidelines
The CFX96 Touch Real-Time PCR Detection System comprises six independently controlled thermal electric units, ensuring consistent and precisely controlled temperatures throughout the run, including ramping. The honeycomb block’s reduced mass enables rapid ramping and decreased settling time to achieve thermal uniformity.

The optical system, equipped with six filtered LEDs and six filtered photodiodes, captures data from all wells, enabling the detection of up to five targets per well. For single-color FAM and SYBR Green I, the fast scan option reads single-channel fluorescence in all 96 wells within just 3 seconds. Additionally, a channel dedicated to FRET singleplex experiments employs an LED filter photodiode combination.

Featuring a large touch-screen interface with intuitive graphical programming, the system displays real-time data traces. The programmable thermal gradient capability permits the simultaneous testing of eight temperatures to swiftly determine the optimal annealing temperature. Moreover, the protocol autowriter optimizes reactions promptly, generating an optimized protocol based on your polymerase, primers, and product length.
